I think there was a topic on that somewhere in the forums where someone did this. Do a search in the DIY section and see if you can find it.

I believe you can only do it on LCI models.

This shift knob is shift by wire technology.

Everything is possible, but this is EXTREMELY hard to do and VERY EXPENSIVE.

i did the Sportautomatic retrofit but then again I was going from a lci standard joystick to a sportautomatic joystick. what you are suggesting is principally a no-go but then again, money can buy anything

Hi

You can make a modification where you just use the top of the knob , but that will take you to alter the wirring and print inside the knob to make the light's and position LED's to worke proberly , take a h... of time but it can be done , please see picture.
