Exclamation Inpa connection problems

I just recently bought a k+dcan cable along with inpa and ncsexpert to code an aux cable. When loading up inpa both the little circles are white, the battery and ignition ones. Does anyone know how to get it to connect? I have been told some of these dcan cables are not pinned properly and that that may be causing the issue but I don’t know. Any help is appreciated!

check to see if your cable has a switch on it to toggle between K-can and D-can.

I don't know how they're selling that cable as a K can and D can cable then.

BMWs produced on or before 2/2007 (like your 545i) need to have pins 7 and 8 bridged to work. later cars have pins 7 and 8 separated. the end of the cable should have small screws that allow you to remove the cover for the PCB. Take a look at it and see if pins 7 and 8 are bridged together or not. Where did you get this cable from?

i ordered the cable from amazon. There are nine pins conning from the chip board to the obd connector. I don’t think 7and 8 are connected but it’s hard to see.

I don't see 7 and 8 bridged. Try plugging it in with a small piece of copper wire connecting 7 and 8 together and see what happens.

COM port needs to be on 1
Latency needs to be on 1 in advanced settings.
