There has been a lot of new/revived interest in Orions recently, most likely due to the announcement of version 4 out of nowhere, lol.
With that said, it's probable to say that it'll cost more than 2 if it ever does get produced for our cars -- which is a bummer for most people. After all, a lot of people would prefer Orions without the space between the LEDs if possible...
So as you guys' favorite Orion v2 installer here in Socal, of course I had to do some thinking.
Which is why I have something exciting to share! I have found a way to minimize the gap and make v2s look more like a solid ring and cleaner! Take a look at the pics below.
P.S. since this is a "my" thing, I will not be answering questions regarding how this is accomplished

I take it you frosted the rings? I was planning on doing this to mine originally (using glass frosting paint), but I had decided against I didn't like how my test runs on other objects came out.
Whatever method you used came out pretty good though

I know on one of the sets I put in, I wanted to get rid of some extra glue on the orions. Silly enough I used Goof Off on one the rings that actually turned the rings exactly into what you have up there. I then did it on all the rings to match them.
Anyway,
Great job

The plastic covering on the Orion LED's is very very strong so goof off just removes the shinny crystal layer giving the plastic a frosty effect.
Yes,
It is a stain remover/ paint over spray remover/ glue remover
