There are many brands available in car seats like Britax, Booster, Evenflo, convertible car seats etc. You need to choose the car seats based on your needs and according to the baby's age height and weight. The Britax car seats are comfortable and safe for children They come with extra cushion and the safety straps which prevent kids from getting hurt at the time of the accident.

Peg Perego?
Graco?
Combi?
Or any?

We finally ordered a Maxi Cosi Micro infant seat since it seemed to be the lightest and seemed to offer more protection than that Graco snugride, The Peg Perego seemed better build but a little heavier for my wife to use. I want to order a ISOFIX base from the UK as they don't seem to sell these here in the US.

We will probably order the Britax Advocate CS when the little one gets bigger. It has airbags in the sides to help protect other passengers in the car from the seat itself.

both maxi cosi and britax are good choices, ranked agmonst the safest in the Which test. item that I would look for is side protection. when its time to get the infant seat, I highly recommend isofix mount, it offers more protection and much easier to install and un-install.

I myself have maxi cosi priorfix and will go for a britax evolva when my kid turn 3.5.
