Humor me! How do I increase the horsepower in my 05' 530i sport pkg. I have yet to see where Dinan or any other aftermarket company specifically singles out my vehicle for any MODs. If there is a way please provide sources for these MODs.

I agree... I am getting a 530i soon, and want to know about some simple/ most common mods that increase performance and how to install these mods.

A few companies have chips for these cars. Check VF engineering for a supercharger...not sure if it's available. Lighter wheels and tires might help. Do a search also, many topics about this.

Vegastrashed has made some solid points about remapping your ECU for more power. Before throwing down any cash, you should have your car dyno'ed before and after, to see if there are any real gains. However, before you buy any of these chips, you should ask the company that you are buying from if they will accept a full refund, should there not be any changes after the mod. You should also get this in writing. How's that VT?

I'm definitely interested still. I shot Matt Booker of Powerchip a note yesterday and asked him if this would fly (the return that is, if no gains were found after install). I've yet to hear back...

Yeah, but that's negligible. Although you're right, he should still do this. It's only a $40 mod. But I think he wants something significant like an ECU remap.
