Default Implications of Installing LM2 Light Module on Pre-LCI 04 525i

Hi guys,

So i've recently retrofitted LCI tails on my pre-lci 04 525i with the Bruce Miranda V6.11 cables and am now considering upgrading my light module from LM1 to LM2 (pre lci xenon without adaptive) to enable the welcome light/fade in/fade out feature.

My question is,

If i was to install the LM2, will this have any effect/implications on the Bruce Miranda V6.11 retrofit?

If i was to upgrade to the LCI xenon (non adaptive) headlights, will my LCI tails "ricky effect" still be functional? Doing a quick search it seems like the Bruce Miranda V6.11 will no longer be compatible, and I will need to purchase an OEM retrofit for ~$35 and sell my bruce miranda cables. but is there any workaround to this that will let me keep the existing bruce miranda retrofit ricky effect?

Thanks!

you would have to do the whole lci retrofit, including the rear lights. you'd remove bruces cables and install the retrofit cables, and the front you'd need to install lci lights and new harness plug. and then code everything.

if you didnt do the fronts you can do the the LM2, keep the cables for the rear and get the welcome lights etc. this is what I have on my own car.

Will I be able to make the Pre-LCI xenons as DRL? (i.e. enable angel eyes when the lights are turned onto "auto" mode)

Or will I have to manually switch the lights two clicks to the right whenever I want the angel eyes on?

How does the fade in/fade out feature work? what option do I have to leave the lights on? Auto?

A friend installed an LM2 on a pre-LCI with Bruce cables LCI tails and stock headlights. I was able to code welcome lights and halos as DRL with no problems.

I had Nomis_nehc install and code my LM2 in my 2005 car. I have LCI headlights, but I am using pre-LCI taillights. No problems other than some error codes for the taillights. I love the new functionality of the LM2, the AEs as DRLs, the welcome lights, etc. I took a chance, since a lot of people advised me to get a new LM2 module, I used the one that I got with my headlights, worked just fine, but apparently using a used one is iffy - I am just lucky.

Is the part number for the LM2 61359203082? I would like to add those features to my car. I have 07 530i with adaptive Xenon lights. Sorry I'm not trying to thread jack.
