if i put a cluster from another car in my car will i get errors?

if i put a cluster froma nother 545i into my car, will i get error messages?

you have to unplug the battery first before you unplug the cluster harness. you shouldn't get any error messages. enjoy the free miles!

it doesnt pik up my mileage?

it wouldnt work. U will get a star next to ur mileage stating it has been tampered.

The cluster needs to recode to fit the VIN of your car. I can do it. PM me if you are interested.

yeah thats ok but i shouldnt get any errors like active steering or airbag light right?

none of that. Like Miguel said, u need programming done. Remember to disconnect battery tho.

I heard that you would need to swap out some chip modules so that you can retain your mileage. I think it's in the white LED cluster mod thread.

It won't if ur vin isn't coded. No errors for sure just a small dot that indicates it's not ur original cluster.

miguex does a great job if u want to code ur vin into it. If u want free miles then do nothing.
