This process can get you into a special menu which contains additional ECU information:

0. Insert Key FOB into slot (do not start the car, just wait for the iDrive system come on)
1. Push down i-Drive knob for approx 8 sec
2. Turn right 3 clicks
3. Turn left 3 clicks
4. Turn right 1 click
5. Turn left 1 click
6. Turn right 1 click
7. Push down i-Drive knob

*** Be paitent after step 7, it took my car a good five seconds to pull up the data.
and then WHAT?????? there are post on version in german ..but i dont have that i have attched (pic 1)

Ok, you got into the info section for each ECU. Yes it is in german and stating the firmware versions for each. What were you expecting? It is possible to update the firmwares but it takes you having the newest firmwares and a way to upgrade them. It will also take considerable time for the car to process each. Is there a reason that you need to do this? I ask because if you didn't know, it is also possible to create problems doing this. If the hardware you have is not capable of the firmware you upgrade it to...you have bricked it.
As for the other questions, the answer is no. You have the standard radio. The Logic7 option has what you're looking for. But I think you'll find its a very expensive upgrade. It uses part of the MOST/fiber optics system and pretty much all of your old stuff would have to be removed and the newer stuff installed, then there is car coding also. There are other options, just that I haven't heard of many if any going this route.

THANKS FOR RESPONDING

i was hoping to get the updated grapics and features is the only reason.
I have an airpaly workaround instead of Bt but it would be nice to have control over the device. i have some testing to do..

if i dont benfit from the upgade.. thats fine.. i just wanted it up-to date if its not..
im also looking at re-powering.. the car the stereo i thought had more options wich i would like but it def needs more power.
