I have the standard Idrive knob for my car 04' 545, I kno I'm not gonna get the cic knob where can I get the knob with the leather insert that came with cars starting in 07' I believe (jus repeating what I read somewhere). It's a simple plug n play correct. Do any of you kno a good place to pick one up?.... My shift knob is starting to peel from normal wear and tear, I did a google search and saw on bimmer forums people were ordering the zhp shift knob which seems to be the best replacement do I have to sign up to order it from there or does anyone kno a place online?....

You can always do what I did, find a buddy that has a leased M5 then right before he turns in the lease ask him nicely for the all aluminum iDrive controller of the M5. Then swap, it is plug and play

 

Will the knob from a 7 series fit or is it a different fitment. I found one on ebay for a e65 but I dont know if these parts are interchangeable...
