I think its time to get rid of the 166's for some 20's.

I've been debating about old KniGhT-CoM's (Ryan Quan's) setup. Anyone know what wheel he used in these old pics?

Anyways, was debating these or the Miro 111's in hyper silver. Not sure. The only way I'd go a black look was with a chrome or silver accent on the outside. Not sure if the above wheels are a little "dated" in terms of style, and HDR always makes things look better than how they appear in-person so I'm still leary of it. All I know is I think 20's are the perfect sized wheel for the E60, and despite my long love of the 166's, everything gets old after a while.

Here are the Miro 111's on a Jet Black E60.

I assume that these are for your summer set up? I'd be too petrified of potholes to run on 20s in NYC. But they sure do look good.

Yea, Summer setup. I'm in the Chicago suburbs so potholes aren't so bad, really. Still, I wouldn't want to corrode them with the salt here in Illinois.

Then 20s should work. Good luck finding some great rims

Are you willing to spend a lot or are you looking for a good price? Because a lot of the forged wheels with deep lips look amazing and a lot nicer than the miros, but I love the concavity of the 111's and theyre not too expensive as far as 20s are concerned. IMO I would say go for something with a lip because it will be something very different from the 166s and I think I'd rather have the 166s than 20in 111s and the look is sort of similar so you may find yourself either missing your 166s or getting bored of the 111s faster than you would with something more different. Those are just my thoughts I may be wrong but either way good luck

Yea thats a good point. I was also thinking about the Breyton 20's the GTR/GTM's whatever they're called - versions that Brabus uses on his M5. Those look nice. I definitely don't want to spend more than 2k on a set so I'm not going the ADV-1 route or BBS, etc. The only choices I'm willing to make are between: Breyton, VMR, Miro, or some sort of other equiv that has a proven track record for quality/price without blowing 6k.

Hmmm. I think this is the wheel: Breyton Spirit II

Problem is... I can't find them sold anywhere.

Nah, John's are Breyton GTR.

Anyway, I am not fond of the first two pics that you posted. Those just look waaaay busy to me. Imagine how much of a pain in the ass they'll be clean as well.

Hit up Michael @ Acute. He has some 'blow outs' right now, and usually has a set or two that can be had for 3k-ish. IMO the Miros are too similiar to your 166s, and your car already looks perfect with that style.
