My Ride: 2005 545i Dinan S Package
I saw some sick rims at the meet. Now I have the fever. I just bought the 650ci ellipsoids for cheap, so I threw them on. After seeing all the different rims at the meet, I noticed I need rims, bad! I have issues buying nice new rims driving in new york city streets, they get destroyed.
I'm debating on doing the State 3 suspension from Dinan or getting the Dinan featherweight rims.

I had the Dinan Stage 2 (no front camber plates) on my 06 M3. Loved it. Slight drop with better ride and better handling.
If you drive on bad roads like I do and want rims, best bet save up for forged wheels which are the strongest. See tire rack for the different ways rims are made.

If you have the money, Vellano wheels are some of the best out there, and have beautiful wheels. VSI and VSA are the two I'm particularly interested in, on a 535i.
Unfortunatley where I live 20"+ wheels are pothole food. Even if the wheels are strong enough to deal with the roads I would be going through tires like crazy. Not enough sidewall to take the impacts...

And I thought my BBS LM's were expensive... Nice wheels though...

Yeah they are expensive but I'd rather buy a car with only the options I'm interested in and wheels, rather than a fully loaded car with cheaper wheels. Basically all I want is the sport package, sport transmission, m-package exterior, navigation. Maybe leather interior...that's it. I don't know if I will be able to find a car with only those options in the colors I want. I don't need to pay 70gs for stuff I don't need.

HREs are not as strong as Vellanos, their barrels aren't forged. They bend and are prone to rust. They look good though.
Edit - Well I don't know if the above applies to their monoblocs, but it certainly does to their 3 piece wheels similar to Vellanos. I wouldn't buy monoblocs though because they don't have rivets.

Did you see Kelster's E39 Dinan Stage 2 M5 at the meet? He has the Dinan wheels. Not a huge fan of their looks, but their weight and strength are superior.
