Its about that time for me to get some new rears. I am just going to go with new tires all the way round. I dont want cheap quality, but I don?t want to spend an arm and leg either. I was told the Falken 452's were a good bang for the buck. Does anyone have any feedback about them or any others? Also a good place online to get some. Thanks

Falken 452's - very good

General Exclaim - best value

Michelin Pilot Sports - not cheap but grippy as hell ( I have these)

Verdestiens - apparently good, expensive but good from what I've read from other members.

Agreed.

But if you get the real Vredestein. They are awesome.

Out of curiosity, how much are they for a set of 19's?

I posted this in another thread...

Car and Driver just did a new tire comparison. They compared 9 tires to the Pilot Sport PS2 (the benchmark).

C&D do tire tests reguarly

I'm looking at Potenza RE960 A/S myself - reviews are pretty good.

They were my #2 choice and I went with the General UHPs ... not sorry because they are a decent performance 'value' tire for my conservative driving style and relatively moderate performing 530xi. If I had a 550 or M-car I'd be more inclined to go with the Pilots.

BTW, if you decide to go with TireRack check out the link in my signature for an additional 4% rebate.

I have a 530Xi too, but I still want the best performance tire - within reasonably priced category, of course
