I have just finished off my 2nd set of stock Cont tires and I am looking for something that handles water better. Drove in crazy rain yesterday and slipping in water is no fun. I am open to going up in size on wheels as well. Any suggestions?

currently, i have GY F1 Asymmetric ... pretty good in the wet but not as good as the GY F1 GSD3 from my last set. I believed the GSD3 is in the process of being replaced by the new one, F1 Asymmetric.

We had rain almost every day in June, no problems with traction. I run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in the OEM sport package size. Very happy with the tires, nice ride, good wet and dry traction, quiet...

best bang for your buck go with the general exclaim uhp tires, and they are very good in the wet.

I have now Nankang NS-2 RF tyres (245/35 ZR19 93Y RF) and about 4 000 km after I am satisfied with them. Tyres are quiet and have quite good rain properties too. Of course it was a risk buy "cheap tyres", but one of my well-known tyre-expert said that: All 19" Y-types tyres are well made, because EU laws are very tight. So if you need 19" tyres, try Nankang NS-2 RF – of course, this is my opinion – you have the decision.

+1 I have Michelin PS2's and they are great wet or dry, even though I don't get much wet weather here.

+ 1 ... I think the conventional General UHPs are priced right, offer good handling, and all weather suitability. But new tires hit the street every day.
Comparison shop for prices and ratings at TireRack - shop thru the link in my signature for additional rebates, there too ... Forum sponsors deserve your consideration as they help members every day.
