I would like an emblem too. How about the center of the stick shift, can you buy them separately.

Hey so did you ever find the SMG badges? I want them too... but I'm not putting it on the side of the car rather I want it by the center SMG shifter just like the M3.

Oh and anyone know or have tried to swap out the SMG gear shifter for the M3s or if possible the upcomming M5's SMG shifter?

IMHO the MB letters/numbers really look like MB letters and numbers, no matter what car you put it on.

Don't make your car look like a Taxi! (At least here in Norway, MBs are extremely frequently used as taxis.)

May sound a little over the top, but I would like to spell "Beeeyotch!" on the side of my car. Comes out to $300 though and I can't find the exclamation point anywhere. maybe an upside down i?

Wish me luck

I finally found the best solution. I am mouting the "SMG" bagde 1" above the side light.

The best badge i found is from Dodge Magnum. Use the M and G plust the "SXT" for the S. The letters are half inch tall and it's subtle and elegant. The problems is That it cost $29 for the MAGNUM and $22 for the "SXT". So, it will cost $110 for a set of 2.

I will post pictures once its mounted

Hey did you ever get the SMG badge figured out? I went to the dealer and asked them about the M3 sMg badge by the shifter... they said that isnt being sold alone... I would have to buy the whole center consol at $200 some odd dollars!

Well Guys,

I have a brain-breaker query for you.? Unlike many people, I like subtle chrome badges. I am planning to install the letter "SMG" above the side maker a la "4.4i" in the X5.

So, with the 3 month waiting, I am starting to collect these letters.? I know BMW doesn't have it, so the badge letters must come from other manufactures.

My first thought is to buy Mercedes "S"500, "G"500 and "M"L350 to form "SMG".? The letters must be the same type in order to qualify.? The only problem with this set up is that the badges cost $30 each, time that to 6 = $180.? Not really worth it.

I then tried to use Volkswagen letters: "G"olf, Pa"S""S"at, 4-"M"otion.? It did not work because the "M" is smaller than others.

I then tried "M"u"S"tan"G", but it does not have a separate chrome letter badge.? Only ones dating back 30 years with ugly font type.

Using the above-mentioned logic, can you guys recommend other ways I can collect "SMG" chrome letter badges?? Remember, cross-name-plate is acceptable as long as they're the same font, and the letters must be chrome and individual.

Let the brainstorming begin.
