Hmmm, this looks like it might be the right one (http://wds.spaghetticoder.org/en/svg...0000019777.svg), but can anyone that's played with one of these mirrors confirm this is the 3 loom version (with door modules, i.e. pre 2005) please ?
As i recall from my swap to folding mirrors;
Mirrors with heating (ASP_HZG+) and horizontal & vertical positioning (ASP_MOTH & ASP_MOTV) have only 1 loom with 4 wires (on ASP_GND the ground is shared), if they fold you have 5 wires (ASP_BLKP, one pulse is fold in - second pulse is fold out) on plug X01050.
Loom 2 (ASP_POSH & ASP_POSV, ASP_5V and ASP_GND on plug X01172) is for mirrors with additional auto dip / memory function.
Loom 3 (not shown on this diagram) comes from the interior rearview mirror sensor for the dim (electrochrome) function.
If you buy the rigth ones the swap is not the hardest part, it's plug and play. Removing the doorpannels without breaking anything will be the challenge

That is the right WDS for pre 09/2005.

The picture below is a mirror I bought with loads of wires .. I'm not scared of wiring or soldering, but I'd prefer to have a better idea of which one does what, if poss.

Hi BlaSTiWi,
Thx for your reply, but your link brings me to the same diagram I had previously. It's a wire colour to diagram code (e.g. ASP_xxxx) function that I'm after unless there is one hidden somewhere on that site ? I've tried the help function but it didn't help ..

1) Manual operation
ASP_HZG+ = Brown
ASP_MOTH & ASP_MOTV = Red & Green <-- don't know which is which)
ASP_BLKP = Yelow
ASP_GND = White (splitting inside the mirrorhousing to Black (= ASP_HZG -) and 2x White (= ASP_MOT - & ASP_BLKP -))
2) Dip / Memory ((ASP_POSH - ASP_POSV - ASP_5V - ASP_GND) <-- can't check, don't have it.
3) Electrochrome (to interior rearview mirror sensor) the little plug with Purple and Black
You can check the pins assignments here, scroll down to plug connector X01172 & X01050.
No need for soldering wires, only if you previously didn't have the Electrochrome function you'll have to route wires from the inside mirror from pin 4 and 5.
