He has been on it all night long with DIS and INPA software (without any progress...)! He's about to go with some heavy action tomorrow.

Btw, the new Bavarian Soundwerks speakers sound GREAT!

Here we go again!

So the interior is ready and the pics are here: https://5series.net/forums/topic/105...-new-interior/

But the subwoofer + amp remained uninstalled, until today!

Like mentioned earlier, I used The Carpower Blackbass 10" from my previous car (Toyota Avensis --> project thread here). It's a very good sw, when looking for sound quality.

I didn't want to build a complex install, but a simple instead, so that I would be able to remove the sw if I needed some space. The idea was to direct the element into the cabin and make the space between the rearseat baseplate and the sw box tight to prevent the sound escaping to the trunk. Some fabricating was needed!

At first I removed a big grill that was protecting the element, and I plugged the holes with hot glue.

Let the saw sing!

Does it fit?

To attach the sw box tightly to the backseat baseplate, I needed these

All wires and cables attached. I need to clean it though.

Surprisingly the fit was very snug, and I didn't need any screws to fasten the box into the baseplate. Not yet at least...

I ordered the LOC from member Technic, and the gadget works great! Thanks again Technic .

Eric didn't show up until everything was done .

And what can I say!? Without any true adjusting, it sounds GREAT with the L7!!!
No resonating anywhere, and the trunk remains quiet .

ps. I also changed to the winter setup, it's been snowing this week and temps are subzero.
Notice the cable going into the engine compartment. I gave some external power to my left side eyebrow LEDs, which seem to act up again. Sometimes only 2 LEDs lighten up when starting the car. I gave them 15-16V for a second and they lighten up, then lowered the voltage down to 12V. After this nursing they work normally again.

Looks great mate but even better when it sounds great!!!
There´s not much to do anymore with that car...

You know how much this is tempting me after we did the comparison with the soundsystems...blaah. Only thing slowing me down is the new sled and ALL the money going into that machine
