I have just purchase a 06 E60 530i M-Sport
IT comes with a Japanese idrive c/w HDD and useless Japan MAP and radio which the FM band width is FM 76 - FM 90, I am in HK and need the radio band width is FM 87.5 -110, I seriously want to change it. but I don't really know what system or version i-drive am I on, so I attached photos and display of it. I know UK band width is same as HK, can I just buy one off them and swap it over, simply plug and play??

Really appreciate for your input.

Talk to the dealer already, it cost e an arm and a leg to replace the unit. So I was also told to get a second unit for Uk and that the problem will be solved. Any one can supply 1 radio cd unit front Uk?..

Thanks

It's ok to lose the japan Navigation, the question is do I still get the radio CD and the I drive info. And is it better to go with the Newer radio the LCI one.

Thanks.
