Agreed, and well done it looks good.

 

I used Limco with the high speed solid clear, the same that I sprayed my M5Tech kit with as it seems to hold up well. Actually sprayed my old Toyota truck about 3+ years ago and it's been outside since and still looks as good as the first day. There's better out there, but this seems to be a pretty good option.

 

Will take some outside pics today when I get home. And I agree, the rails also need to be painted black. I had planned to do this when I sprayed the roof, but was getting close on time and decided to go at it next week. I have a new set of splitters that I will spray so will catch it all together sometime next week.

 

I would paint the sharkfin black. Also, consider painting the windshield side moldings white so it's more of a continous line down the front. I've been dying to do this. you will probably break the clips removing the windshield moldings, just go ahead and buy 10 at the dealer before you remove the moldings.

OK, here are two pics from outside. I'm thinking I should take the shark fin to black. I left it white for two reasons, one being that I wasn't sure if the paint would have an effect on the antenna reception and the other was just to see what it looks like. My son-in-law kinda talked me into keeping it white as well. The rails are still off the car and those will go black for sure. There is no chrome around the windows, eveything is black.

 

Definitely black fin. I wasn't sure at first but then I saw other cars with black roofs (M3), and do think it looks much better. If you leave it, it looks like you forgot to do it. My $0.02.
