The reason I dont want to put the M5 mirrors is because,... I DON'T Understand if it will work with all the features.

Will it fold when my car doesn't have that feature? Will the autodiming work? Will my LED lights under the mirror work on M5 mirrors? Do M5 mirrors have that feature in the first place? Will the car software have to be updated? Must I pay for that? Wiring the same? Straight forward Retro fit?

Too many unanswered questions and trying to search on the forum gives me a headache. Hours spent reading, reading reading and I am still clueless. Simply put, I gave up on this. Just live with the mirrors I have. It still serves it purpose.

cheers
The M5 mirrors has all the features that you have originally. You just have to make sure the one you are buying is the one with all the features.

There's heated, dimming, reverse dipping, lights (when you unlock the car and when you exit the car after you turn off the engine), and fold feature.

My mirror has all those features, but in the US, the folding is not enabled like in europe. I'm still waiting on a module to enable that, which we've found one that enables folding and hopefully figure out how to use is correctly.

I wish we could get reasonably priced replica. Whoever made it would make a killing, all of us are foaming at the mouth, but when we find out how much they are we direct our funds elsewhere. Just too much IMO for mirrors. Some will disagree but that is what makes all our cars unique. (Which is what I thought we were going for?)

Why do people buy M5 or M-Tech bumpers to give their cars a great look and then they forget to buy org M5 mirros to complet the mod
Just as a thought, replica M5 mirrors are available at www.bmstyling.co.uk and also www.ca-at.co.uk..... CA automotive have 3 variations including a full CF replica..however the cost of the mirrors and the postage may or may not make them a value for money purchase...

Hi

Sorry guys , but why make your car apear as something it isen't ? , it's just like when a guy dress out like a women , okay if you got the motor to "back" it up ( 545 or 550 ) , then perhaps , but when people dress out their 520 or 525 as a M5 , I will allow me to call the car a "trans" , I find that the mony is better used at modifications that makes the comfort and driving experience higher , but so are we fortunatelyrent so different

Don't get me wrong , I find it's all right that everyone does what they fell for , it's their mony , but this is just my personal opinion

I don't think the mirrors are worth the price. Two small mirrors cost more than half the entires Mtech kit, with mounting hardware...

1k for mirrors is outrageous. the mirrors are pretty sleek and nice looking but the stock ones are just fine.

You have to realize M5 mirrors cost 1k USD... not everyone wants to pay that much for it.
