Anyone else in the Illnois or Southern Wisconsin area that can do this for $300 or less, as it SHOULD be?

AHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found someone ! YEAH BABY. He quoted me $60 per strut/spring installation. So, $240 bucks for the whole job. WOOOOOOOT. (I still will have to go get an alignment but its STILL way cheaper)

i was gonna say A&L Autobody. They are honest guys. The other is like P&L or something like that in Franklin Park...but A&L seems closer to you and the have a cult like following. I never hear anything bad.
Sorry, lurker from Chicago. Was gonna get a e60 but went with an E92 instead (wanted a coupe!)

A little update.

My new mechanic / body shop is

A & L Autobody (Palatine)
1979 W Dundee Rd
Palatine, IL.
Phone 847-991-5620

Ask for Tony (Father) or Anthony (Son)

Anthony quoted me approx $250 for the installation of 2 shocks and 2 struts as well as installing shadowline trim for about $45. VERY Fair pricing. I will post pictures of the work when its done on August 25th. =p

A little lesson I learned here guys. Never, ever, ever, settle for a price you believe is shady. Always call 5, 10, or more shops and ask around. VOICE your opinion and distaste in your previous quotes from other shops. Make sure the mechanics know that YOU know what you're talking about. Because you know what they say......... "if you bend over, you're going to get fucked." Don't bend!
