I saw quite a few people here are having the AIB one side dimmer problem, so I called them regarding the exchanging.

They want us to ship the AIBs back to them first, then wait for them to ship out new ones

"we can't guarantee we'll receive the bulbs back if we send out new ones first"

that's true, yet, it's way too much hassle for us


so I told them

"we'll have to take it to the shop, pay the techs to replace them with OEM eyes , then PAY to ship the AIBs back, then WAIT for the new AIBS, then PAY the shop to replace it again"

but they just insist having us ship the stuff back first.

so here we have few problems

1. Hassle (alot of us dont want this)
2. Shipping cost ($315 for two bulbs and we need to pay to return the defective bulb?)

So what you guys think, can anyone figure out a better way to handle this?

In the future please send all customer service emails to: support@customangeleyes.com . Our Customer Service does not read the forums, so its much easier by email.

It seems like a few of the latest build(3 or 4 sets?) were not color matched properly, and as a result one is appearing dimmer than the other.

Ofcourse we would like to get this resolved as quickly as possible for those people. Our typical warranty policy, is that the customer sends us the defective part, we do some testing and than send back the fixed or new part. Ofcourse we cannot simply be sending out replacement parts, because unfortunately there are many people who either purposely or accidentally will not return the defective part to us.

As a result, we can offer you 2 options:

1)Regular warranty policy, send us defective part first, fixed part is sent out the same day.
2)We charge a hold fee($349 for the complete set, or $174.50 for 1 iBright), as soon as payment is received the new set is sent out, when we receive the defective part(s) the full credit of the hold fee is issued back.

Either way, please contact us at support@customangeleyes.com and we will take care of you!

All I can say is that CustomAngelEyes reputation depends on their response. I'll send my set back. I'm hoping the replacement AIBs will have a fix for the FM reception as well.

The Hold charge way sounds fair to me But are you going to include a pre-paid postage for us to send the defective bulb back to you?

well continuing from the other thread.. I don't think there's a lot of problems with AIB just a few bulbs had problems.. but it looks great if the bulbs lights evenly

Ok Dave from AIB emailed me back and said that they would refund our return postage through paypal. This goes for anyone that bought the AIB from this group buy.
