Anybody ever get problems with their comfort access after huper optik tint? I know most people say that tinting does nothing, but something is wrong with my comfort access. It doesn't work anymore.

When is the last time you put the key into the ignition? although you have comfort access, you occassionally need to put the key back in, to charge it. i have comfort access on all 3 of my bmw's and from time to time, i put the keys back into the ignition, to charge up the keys. try that for a day of driving and then test out the remote access and start after that.

I have Dark Matter 38% ceramics and no issues. Then again, I don't have comfort access so it doesn't matter! weewoo.

the comfort access keys don't recharge- there's a small trap door on the back of the key with a watch sized battery in it, and the car will warn you when they're low. However, I can see how physically plugging the key in could "re-sync" it with the car.

EDIT - You are correct. The "recharge" feature was only on E60's that did NOT have Comfort Access. I thought that old thread said that it was for cars with Comfort Access. I just searched on that old thread and found that it said it was for cars that did NOT have Comfort Access. My bad.

That said, you will most likely need to replace the battery.

I believe that it's the non-CA fobs are rechargeable

I have Huper Optik (all 8 windows + sunroof) installed and CA still works.
