I believe the M5 rear fenders come rolled from the factory. I could be wrong here but that's what I recall.
Rolling fenders isn't bad. Cutting them is another story -- that I believe would definitely weaken them.

I don't know where you get this from AWG but I had my fenders rolled for 3+ years now on my own e60... no problems Anyone who mods their car heavily will tell you fender rolling is a must if you lower your car and make it aggressive.

If you don't roll your fenders and your wheels rub, your fenders may bend in and your tire life will be shortened.

So you have to roll the fenders if you plan on going with 20's and lowering? I want to do both, mild lowering since I still want to be able to use a normal driveway, but no way am I rolling my fenders. I will eventually trade my car in (for an F10) and the stock would look like crap if the fenders are rolled

If you want an aggressive drop, then fender rolling is a must. Fender rolling is a not noticeable mod. Feel free to come by our shop to see cars that we have rolled fenders for. I am telling this based from my experience and my customers. But if you decide fender rolling is not for you, then that's your decision.

But for a mild drop, if you do go with aftermarket springs, there might be rubbing issues because the stock shocks tend to bounce more. The only way to fix it is to get aftermarket shocks or coilovers.

You can't even tell if a fender is rolled just by looking at it. Its rolled in, unless you look VERY closely you can't tell until you actually feel the inside (again all this depends on the roller).

As John stated, you don't have to roll your fenders, but you may have to run some pretty negative cambers.....

Oh, I love the way it looks dropped, but my driveway is pretty steep and no way I'm tearing up my bumper every time I wanna park - and no way my cars is getting street parked. So a mild drop (probably Eibach Prokit) will do for me, haven't seen any rubbing issues in my research with that setup.
