Hi

On rear seat heating, did you use OEM seat heaters and switches?

Yes , just parallel wirring for the extra I-Drive controller.
Havent fitted the rearseat heating yet , but , yes I will go for the OEM switches.

Ok, in 2-3 days I will have everything at home (EUR200 for the rest, all necessary parts except HUD unit, windshield and switch).
Now I want to ask: WHO, HOW MANY PEOPLE have their HUD unit in the garage, waiting for the job?

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I have a question.
I see there are quite a few different part numbers for the HUD, according to what year the car is from.
What is the difference between those?
According to RealOEM I need "62 30 9 159 641", but whats the different between this and an older version?

There have been several updates to the unit and respective motherboard. If it's listed for your year/model, then it should work. If you are ordering from BMW, then the 641 is latest.
- On a separate note, did someone take photos of their HUD retrofit? I have a six and am debating.
