By "box on the end" do you mean the igniter with the "open" and "close" written on top with the arrows? D2S won't have that?
The box with the arrows is the ignitor. About D2S not having that,... Im not certain if mine are D1S or D2S, but I was under the impression mine were D2S. Maybe some one could chime in to confirm.

Oh my mistake. D2s is what AKAlius showed. D1S is this,
D2S is this
The ignitor for the D2S can come off the bulb. The D1S ignitor is stuck on the bulb and cannot be removed.

Thanks! You guys are great. Now for the next question, who do you recommend I go to for 6000k replacements that are decent quality, won't fry anything, won't throw codes or idrive error messages and won't cost me an arm and a leg?

Thanks AKALius! Anybody have any pictures of 6000k xenons, 6000k hid fogs and 6000k led angel eyes on at the same time as viewed from the outside? Just want to see how close the color match is as seen from the outside.
