How to remove the phone baseplate/cradle from the armrest?

It just takes space. I don't use it. I'd rather have more room in my armrest.

Is there any way to remove it? I suppose Bluetooth antenna is not in it so my phone connection will work anyway.

I did this, the wrong way, haha.

There are a few torx screws under it and that takes the top half off - but the hinged base part was really stubborn. I've had my console off a few times so I figured I would do that again until I realized the futility of it and just ripped the whole thing out. It made some disturbingly loud pops and cracks but didn't do any damage and I love having that extra space in there.

Hmm. No screws? It just pops into place with the hinges?
