I just installed H&R sport springs, It took just over 2 hours and cost me $250. Allignment should be about another $100. I'm getting that done next week. Hope this helps..

so when is shop wants to charge 8 hours, can i just ask them if they have retards working there that takes 4x as long?
lol

i wish ther was som consistency in things between regin. I mean what it take someone 2 hours should take someone from a differetn shop 8 hours. i can see 3 or even 4 (which is almost 2x the time) but still within a certain acceptable range?

funny part is a heard it is supposed to take longer on the xi models too. lol i was surprised how fast they were because ppl on here told me it will be 4-5 hours. but they did an amazing job. they pretty much only do bmw's where i took it, they really knew what they were doing.

you know i was planning a road trip to Toronto (as it is one of my favorite place in North Amerika).
I should just kill 2 bids with one stone.

I gotta think about this one.

yeah even 4 hours is reasonable. But i got quoted 1k for spring install with alignment not including the springs. hmm

I was definitely ok with 4 hours hence my ride over to the shop this morning. But they then told me 8 hours plus alignment.
I told them no thanks, and walked out. Ok I said a few more things then walked out.

thats insane. where abouts are you? alot of ppl try n rip you off when they see you in a new bimmer. i got a really good deal, i think the average price just for spring install according to what ive read on here so far is about 300-350. def. don't pay more then that.

if you do come to t.o let me know, ill take you to the place i got mine done. but you'll end up losing money including price of gas on the trip here, lol..

no, no, i wouldn't drive all the way to TO just for this.
I was going to bring my 5 series anyway just for a road trip. I see how the places here has become such rip off. looks like u got a good deal, so yeah if i do happen to come anytime soon, might take advantage and get it done and save some money there too. I am sure i will find to spend the saved money for some other mods.
