How many people would like LSD?
After 2 months of driving 545 Sport in Boston snow and wet roads - this is my biggest dissapointment with the car - no LSD. Previous cars 4 years of e39 M5 and currently M3 SMG (same snow tires and sizes for all cars)
I like the vehicle and the new technology in it is amazing, but they advertise it as an ultimate driving vehicle and at the same time don't give you the essential element for safety and performaqnce? Why BMW? instead of $ 1200 Active steering gizmo.. I would pay 5K for LSD
I called Dinan and Quife for potential upgrade. Quife needs 25 people for group buy to start research. Dinan just needs more calls to them to justify the R&D.
So if anyone if interested please respond.
Here is the background info on LSD and the reason why it's dangerous not to have it:

I live in CA, so I don't really needs it.
BMW is NOT an Ultimate Driving Machine.
BMW you have to listen to your value customer. If not, other car manufacturers will lure your customer away.

Dinan is more expensive - true, but you keep full warranty on the drivetrain.

[/quote]Ahh, OK. I drive in dry warm southern california. I assumed that the DTC was infact replacing the limited slip. I have little experience with snow but would assume that if you disable DSC you have DTC which will do what you need in snow.
