How many mile or km until a new cambelt?

As you all know E60 is in its 4 year and I bet some people have a high mileage in there cars.
I like to ask,
How many mile or km can the cambelt take before it brakes?

You don't have to worry about it. NEVER
Actually, there is not a cambelt, at least, in the 6-inline engines. Contrarily, there are internal sprockets with timing chain.

My engine is the BMW M54B25 is this the same?

ALL BMW since early 1990's are running on timing chains only. No recent BMW has a belt.
The last BMW to be converted from belt to chain was the 316i E36 in 1994.

ALL other BMW engines already were chain driven before that.

OTT I just saw the Z4 2006 still has my engine 2.5L
This must be a good engine if the Z4 still has it and not the new 1 N52 2.5L
