Had it installed for two weeks, man i loved it. Had to take out today to bring my car in for service, the car felt so sluggish. That sprint booster is well worth it.

You should also make sure that the SB is for your auto/manual e60.

You shouldn't have any errors wit the SB though.

Have fun with your SB.

I am wondering why you removed the charcoal filters? How much does it cost?
You can read about why - and how - we take out the charcoal filters here ...

No problem with inferface. Makes the throttle more responsive and acceleration feels quicker. There are 2 types of Sprint Booster. There is an aggressive unit and a less aggressive unit. For auto transmissions, some find the aggressive type too responsive with the car downshifting too often. If that's the case, try the less aggressive unit. Either one will put a smile on your face
How do I tell whether the one I purchased belongs to the aggressive unit or less aggressive unit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...141319&rd=1

It only stated Sprint Booster BDD401A - Power Converter for BMW and Mini Cooper- Automatic Transmission

Is the charcoal filters the same as what I used to have in my e39 540 called microfilter? The orange filter is called the air filter, right? I might replace it with K&N which I have on all my cars.

There's not an aggressive and less aggressive option. It's either for auto or manual. Most people prefer the auto version even on their manual as it's "less sensitive". I have the auto version on my SMG which is technically a manual tranny. I love it. It's only a 5 minute process to remove/install so I usually take it off when I bring it in for service, just in case.

As for the charcoal filters, only US cars have them. Removing them has shown proven power gains. I don't think they're the same as the microfilters though cause I think those are for your ventilation system. Not sure.

And $270 is about right. I organized a group buy through PartsExporter a while back and it was $250 shipped.
