I bought the sprint booster from EBAY yesterday and wondering how many of the e60 members have it? Any problem so far? I have hear there's error light turned on after installed. Should it be removed every time the car brought in for service?

Thank you.

2005 545i T/S with black leather, sport package, navi, premium sound, cold weather package, V1 hardwired, silverstar foglight, (on order: Philips 6000k d2s, Sprint Booster, 35% 3M tint all around, ACS roof/trunk spoiler, Hartge front lip spoiler).

I've not had any problems with it at all - it's an amazing kit!

I keep it installed always ... even at the dealer.

this might sound like a stupid question, but what does it do exactly, aside from boost your sprint? and what error light comes on, im a little anal about stuff like that it would probably piss me off after staring at the light on the dash after a couple min. does it increase performance that much?

It removes the lag/delay on the throttle the moment you step on the pedal but it doesn't increase horsepower... I don't get any warning or anything since I installed it...

Thank you for the reply.

I am wondering why you removed the charcoal filters? How much does it cost?

No problems here. But when I went to buy mine, I had a little problem. When they fit the unit in, it didn't work, I couldn't feel any difference, so they had to replace the unit. Even on my CLK, the same thing happened. So I'm saying these things have a pretty high failure rate or defect from factory. So just be careful during install, make sure you really feel a difference or the unit isn't working, so send it back for a replacement. But so far, no problems for me, no warning light, nothing, its a great product!! I leave it in there when sent to the dealer, and they usually get pretty surprised. "WOW a 525iSE/520d accelerates that mcuh?!!"

No problem with inferface. Makes the throttle more responsive and acceleration feels quicker. There are 2 types of Sprint Booster. There is an aggressive unit and a less aggressive unit. For auto transmissions, some find the aggressive type too responsive with the car downshifting too often. If that's the case, try the less aggressive unit. Either one will put a smile on your face
