There's no real way to specify how low to drop. Its all about how comfortable you feel with your wheels and how low your car is.

I have my 20's set so my finger cannot fit in my fender. So it almost looks tucked.

I agree with nigxdoof, its about how comfortable of a ride you still want and what look you are going for. I personally don't like the "tucked" look on our cars, I would lower tilll you are flush with the top of the fender like nigxdoof where you can't even fit a finger in but not tucked, then you have to see if you like the ride comfort still. I say install the coilovers play around with the ride height for a while and once you figure out what height you like then go get an alignment done.

I have been told by one installer that installing coilovers in the e60 requires removing most of the trunk interior.

Fact or fiction?

And don't forget to brush up on "Measuring Tape 101", we had that issue around here not so long ago!! Evidently, it is more difficult to use than it looks!

Fiction...

I have adjustable coilovers and there are some foam pads that you have to just move out of the way to adjust my ride stifness in the trunk. Simple adjustment by just turning the knob.
