How to get power and aux in the armrest?

My Ride: 550i
Model Year: 2008
I noticed when test driving a few 550i's that the aux in is on the back of the armrest facing the rear seat (why?) and there is no power jack inside armrest. This seems really weird to me, as I really want these in the armrest to setup a power connector for my iPhone, etc. Is there an approved way to relocate these ports into the armrest?
