swap out the bulb? I have to cylindrical-type bulbs left from Brawbus' kit and I think that's where they go...

Easy. Common misconception is to put a screwdriver in that hole and pop them out. But you have to move the entire casing to the right and then pull the left side of the casing down.
Almost like the side blinker (push back, and pull out). The entire car is held together by various kinds of pressure clips. Once you figure that out, you can basically disassemble the car

flat head screw driver into the slit on the left of the light housing (black plastic piece)...slide Right (towards the passenger side)...tab will come down and you are good to go
