How do I remove the panel to get to battery

Hi, I've seen pics with the panel already off but no mention of how to remove. I've unscrewed the 2 plastic bolts on the side and back already but it doesn't want to budge. I don't want to break anything. Thanks.

For one thing, I think you have to open the spare tire cover.

+1 Correct - lift the floor panel and then (after the 2 plastic screws are removed) pull the side panel away from the inner fender. It's snugged in there pretty good but it will come off.

Are there any clips? Where are the attachment points?

I thought the battery should be charged via connectors under the hood.

The side cover is sort of wedged under the inner fender but there are no extra clips etc. After you remove those 2 plastic screws, firmly but carefully pull it away - use the extra hand hold by pulling on the edge that is under the floor cover. You won't break anything - it fits like a puzzle piece.
