Default How the ?!?!?!?! do I install these? LED AE pre lci

I searched before, found a video, but cant find it again.

So I have an 2005 PRE LCI 530i.

The stock dull halogen angel eyes are bugging me, so I bought these:

When i open the lights, I can find the stock bulb for the angel eyes (the inside one) , but for the life of me I cant figure out how this would work.

How do I get that big honker of a unit to work in that tiny space?

HELP!

I have a feeling that I may have missed something here and may not be able to make it work, or maybe Im just being stoopid.

It's a tight fit. I'll assume you have the old AE bulb removed, and I suggest taking the headlight out and working with it on a bench - it makes this job a LOT easier. Plug the connector into the bulb first, before you try to get the bulb seated in the housing. Don't put too much pressure on anything; if you snap that ring in the headlight, you'll potentially be buying a new one. you'll have to sort of get the head of the LED bulb into that mounting ring at an angle. If it isn't going in right away, take the bulb out, walk away for 10 minutes, then get back to it. Make sure that the base of the bulb is completely seated flat before you rotate it to lock it in place.

It'll take a bit of fiddling, but eventually you'll get it.

BTW where do you live?

easier to take the headlights out unless you have really small hands, and FYI those bulbs suck for pre-lci

Funny, I was just there three weeks ago visiting a friend.

Good luck. Be patient, and you'll get them in.

There is a video on YouTube called BMW e60 headlight removal I think. I have done it. It is super easy. Unscrew three screws and that is it if I remember we'll. just be carefull not to brake the headlight tabs while doing this.

If you only removed three screws, you broke a headlight tab.

yes, there are videos showing how to get the headlight out. it is MUCH easier with the bumper off, but definitely not completely necessary.

do you have a projector in your headlight housing?
if not and you do not have any projectors and have halogens return them. they wont fit.
pre lci halogens use a little bulb, that is the only option. you can swap it for an led bulb to get the 6k look but they still are dim.
if your headlights are identical to the ones in the attached pic they wont work :/
