Greetings everyone,
Wondering if anyone can direct me to some info on how to correctly set up coilovers as far starting point specific to our e60's.
they are k sport coils.
as for a starting point, i have no idea. The instal is pretty cut and dry but the actual setting them up so after the install you acheive the look you want the first time rather than making a million adjustments to get the ride height, and camber correctly.. ive found a few DIY write ups on how to do the install which looks simple, along with torque specs.![Cool](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/cool.gif)
the only thing standing in my way is how to properly set them up,
-Is there a certain measurement from the spring perch to the top of the spring when there spring isolator is that i need to meet.?
-Or is as easy as snug the perch up to the bottom of the spring to where it just fits snug up to the spring?
-how about the lower mount, for ride height, any measurement there that i should be in the range of?
- or is this trial and error?
Is caster, camber, and toe setting all readjusted with an alignment or is the car aligned with the current caster, and camber setttings..?
any input you could give me would be great!
thanks for your time!
