Default How To Change 525i 2004 fog light bulbs

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a bmw 525i 2004 and wanted to upgrade my fog lights to more of a white led bulb which i believe are the HB4 9006 type. How do i change them without taking the headlights off??

I have an 05. I removed Iike 4-5 screws in the wheel well and pulled back the plastic plate, then reached in and unscrewed unscrewed the part that holds the bulb, switched bulbs and put it back in. First one takes you 20 minutes, seconds one takes you 5.

Now that I have changed the AE taking headlights out isn't that big of a deal. i didn't do it that way but I wish I had. Would have spared my poor lady hands from getting all beaten up.

turn the wheel OUTWARDS (i.e. left if you're working on the left wheel well, and vice versa) this gives more clearance to access the screws than turning the wheel inwards as most people do

I tried this on mine a few weeks back, I started with the front left. However, their is this white reservoir like tank between the wheel well and fog lights; no way to work around it nor did I see a way to remove it.
It's an 05 N52 525i, basically I gave up there and then didn't even look at other side because I still couldn't replace left side without taking off whole light case. Don't know has anyone else have this same build? or is it something I'm missing? sorry didn't think to snap pics

If your car is a non-msport then you can just pop off the lower grill/cover at the bottom and easily locate the fog light bulbs.
