I just negotiated a set of m166's with PS2's for $1725 shipped, how can I tell if wheels are oem?

I bought them at M5board.com, the seller seems legit and tells me they are oem bbs 166's, but I asked him for the offset on the rear wheels and he told he couldn't find it in the back of the rear wheels... Where can he find the offset?

How can I check if these are oem m5?, are there any specific features the wheels have that I can ask him about?

Please help.

It should say BBS in the back. A picture of it should be a good proof. GL

If not marked inside the back of the wheel check the part number (there must be a pn on original wheels) here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/

Not sure if the part # is in the back or not. Here you can find the part #s for M5 and M6 offsets

This was so helpful, the guy took pics of the BBS logo and the part number, I'm getting the ones with the M5 offset, what size of spacers should I buy to get the wheels flush with my fenders?, bare in mind I already rolled my fenders to fit 20's, so I can be very aggressive with my offsets, what would you guys recommend?.

I know somebody might say, "just search the forum", I did, I put m6 offset, m6 offset spacers... and I get like a gazillion unrelated topics, please help!

I had 12 mm spacers which made it flush.
