Hi folks,

I created a backup (*.iso file) on my pc of the BMW navigation DVD. How do I have to burn the *.iso file on a blank DVD so that my navigation system can read the medium?

I remember some settings f.e. in Nero you have to set. Otherwise your E60 won't be able to read the DVD. If I rememer correctly, those settings were discussed in a very old topic in this forum that was named "Speed camera P.O.I." or something like that...

Can someone please help me?

If you are just wanting to burn it back to DVD, just right click on the *.iso file you created and select open with Nero, it will then open nero and you should then just need to select burn, just make sure the burn at once / finalise disk option is enabled, stick in a blank DVD-r and hit burn, it should burn the dvd for you.

to minimize writing errors, you should burn at the lowest speed, I usually burn at 2x. Also use verbatim dvds, they are better quality.

I actually used a Sony Dual Layer Dvd-r. It works perfect and has never failed once.

Hi,

I do not know how to answer your question, but have a question myself. Would you be so kind to help or point me in the right direction?

My 2004 E60 did NOT come with the BMW navigation system, but I would like to have one installed. Is it possible, is it a good system and how much does it cost?

I appreciate your assistance. Mark Saracino 610 647 5737

best way is to use a portable GPS navi. To install a BMW one, you might as well trade in your car for one with navigation. You need parts, extensive labor, and dealer programming which will cost you 10 arms and 50 legs!

Mark,
I would recommend just to get a good gps which is a lot better and cheaper than having the system installed. There are good ones on the market that are ten times better that the BMW navigation system.
BTW, .

Edit: Too slow for Brabus
