How is the ride on the highway? Smooth like the summer wheels and tires?

I just shipped my 3D's and A7 rims back to Tirerack today. One plus is that I have my 172's back on for a little while...hope the snow holds off.

Those idiots will probably just re-balance (for the 3rd time) and ship them back to me.

Its pretty smooth, going from 20's to 17's is a big difference. The comfort improved when hitting bumps, but the smoothness and grip feels great. I still have to break in the tire so I wont really know how these are until 500 miles later.

Let's hope the snow holds off so you can use them 172's for now. =) My car looks like its missing something now. like if someone stole a girls breast implants... she's just not complete.

Yeah.....it's amazing the difference some wheels can make. I feel like I got my real car back today when I put my 19's back on. I have another question re: the 138's...when did BMW stop making them with that little lip around the outer edge? My old 530xi and the newer 528's with 138's don't have that lip either....smooth all the way to the edge.

My old rims, no lip:
