HID fogs without projectors?
I'm thinking of installing some 3000K, yellow, HIDs for my fogs and I'm wondering if it'll be absolutely obnoxious to other drivers. I'd only use them in the fog or rain, but still. I see most HID applications in projectors, but I have the regular LCI front bumper. I figure the fog lights are aimed down but I don't know the scatter out of a regular housing. Anyone?

The foglights are aimed low, yes, and the yellow HID kits (at least the one I had from John@motorcepts) was bright but not obnoxiously so, I am going to get the same kit for my M-Sport LCI bumper. John's kits also throw no error codes, a BIG bonus.

I think it is, they look way better than stock, brighter and more useful - I have driven in fog with them on. Plus the fact that John's don't require any error cancellors helps a lot, they are truly plug and play.

I have 3000k Canbus HID's in my foglights. I was thinking about changing my stock foglights to projectors.

I see on bimmian and umnitza that the housing pairs are $100 or so, but your bumper seems to accept them better than mine would. I already have the clear shield, I think I'd need a whole new section there. Bimmian shows a picture of the replacement, with some side LEDs, but I don't see where they describe them.
I'd love to do the projector housings and the HIDs at the same time. I'm not an upgrade hound, I want to do it right once and forget it.
