Guys,

my friend just got me a set of HID 9006 foglights for my bday
however, got it installed, before I start the engine the HID runs perfectly well
but as soon as i start the engine, they start blinking really fast and I get error messages on idrive

I called up someone who owns a store that sells HID or related products
according to him, I need to take the car to the dealer and have them change the computer to recognize the foglights as "HID mode" , aka 35w mode
and then I search around the internet, i dont see any information about that

any advice?

You can't change the computer to recognize xenon fogs, that only works for the headlights.

You will need an HID Anti Flicker/Error Canceling harness that interfaces between your stock wiring and HID kit. We are in the final stages of testing our unit and it should be available within the next few weeks

Mike - If I go with HID's, you're installing them for me. Wait...I said I was done with all my mods. Nevermind.
