I test ALL the cables before shipping them out. I think your installer installed it backwards first which caused it to blow.
As my friend said, the capacitor was not the issue. We went to RadioShack and bought a capacitor 3 times its size and it still caused the lights to strobe. Something had to be wrong in the kit itself, maybe a problem with the passenger side relay or something, not too sure.

All said and done, IT WORKS NOW!

^ swap your working ballast with your "bad" ballast to see if its the ballast which went bad or the actual bulb. Also if water is present around the ballast area, it can make them defective over time. You should be fine since I believe they have 1yr warranty from john if im not mistaken.

The solution? Unfortunately, I can't share. Literally.
Long story short, my set up is back up and running thanks to your "magic touch". Thank you again also for the coding!

I had the same problem passenger side flicks (at least 5-6 times). i believe it was the bad ballast. i ordered john a new ballast and it was running great. Retest the old ballast and it was still the same, flicks. So maybe check that out.

The ballast was not the issue at all, if it had been then it would never have run fine ever.
