Default HID AEs pissed me off... Whats next?

Tired of fooling with the HID AEs. Too much trouble to continuously trouble shoot issues...

What are the next best options as far as BULBS are concerned? Just want to plug them in and have light... No more, no less.

Thanks.

Options vary depending if you are Pre-LCI or LCI (2008-2010 roughly). I have Mtec V3s which were plug and play in my 2010 LCI e60. Search the Mod forum for a Mtec V3 Thread I posted last month. Good luck.

What kind of problems are you having? My HID AE's are problem free so far...

2008 LCI 535i.... One would go out for a bit, then come back on. Then the other one would flicker for a bit then go dead. That went back and forth for a while, then it would throw warnings... Finally they both went out. Im done.

Keeping it simple and just going with bulbs...

Talk to John@Motorcepts, he'll hook you up with everything you need. You sound like your having the same problems I went through, and John's kit fixed them right up.

Have you reached out to him? He's pretty good with troubleshooting his products.

HID angel eyes are a complete waste in my opinion.
1. They generate tooo much heat
2. They have their share of install problem
3. They do not have uniform lumen output through out (compare the small and the bigger ring)
4. They dont look good at night when someone is looking at your car from a distance, with too much light being put out from the AE's and, the light being dispersed everywhere giving that shabby flush effect.

Thats my personal opinion and I am not affiliated with anyone. Dont mean any offense to anyone.
