Found out they can get the M-tech kit (any year...pre-LCI or LCI). If you owe a pre-LCI then the cost for the kit is significantly lower I believe it was around $1,300 and they have some in stock, which is pretty great for pre-LCi owners! Since BMW discontinued selling the kit as a whole, the only option for LCI folks like myself ('08+) is to buy it in pieces for a significant higher cost. They quoted me for everything including the fogs for a little over $2400. If you don't live in S. California and need it shipped it will be another $500 or so, which would put the total cost around $3K for the kit. Just putting the information out there for those in the same situation as me and still mulling over paying over $3K for a kit and that doesn't include painting either.

^^^The reason why the kit costs less for pre-LCI cars is because many of the front components (like the foglamps) can be swapped over. The kit is essentially a pre-LCI retrofit when installing on an LCI car. Although I can say first-hand there are quite a few parts leftover from my kit that didn't have to be used.

I'm surprise they stopped making this kit, good thing I got mine this summer. So what happens if you damage your bumper and need replacement parts? SOL?

^^^^I guess I should clarify more like balbs pointed out. BMW discontinued selling it as a whole kit, BUT you can still purchase individual parts seperately at a higher cost. Hope that makes more sense to everyone.

Sorry for my ignorance...but VISUALLY (not the caps or bolts or the inner differences etc) what is the difference between Pre-LCI M-tech front bumper and the LCI front bumper?
I got my Pre-LCI M-tech kit way back in 2009 and I still see E60 LCI M-Sport models and don't quite see the visual difference (if any). Please let me know!

there is no visual difference between the bumper packages for both models other than the little strip that US cars have for the amber reflectors.

Umnitza...does your M-tech replica offer the reflective strip? What are the differences from your pre-LCI vs. LCI bumper, if ultimately it all looks the same. Just asking. Thanks.

i believe the Umnitza kit is the same for both the pre-LCI and LCI. there is no reflector strip. you will however need to buy new foglights, as the LCI have different ones than the MTech and pre-LCI use.

mo585 is correct. The kits are the same for pre- and LCI kits. No reflective strips. You will need new fogs but they are awesome in the sense that they are projectors and well worth the upgrade especially with HID fogs.
