I am a noob and I was wondering if anyone had experience with installing the umnitza v5 BMW led upgrade angel eyes? Their shipping was fast but that doesn't a mean a thing if I can't get the lights to work! I attempted to install them, connected the little silver box included with the package, connected that to the light and the angel eye ring never even came on and I had got the error message that left drl malfunction. I type before you experts looking for help

 

Picture of how you installed would help. Both sides the same issue?

 

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of me trying to install it but this what the product looks like out the box

 

I just installed the MTEC V3. Sounds the same. Silver box should have a small connector with goes to new bulb and a larger connector that goes into the BMW wire that attached to original AE bulb. If that doesnt work, I would try the other box and bulb to find out whats defective. Switch them out and turn on the drls before you reinstall to see if they light up. You may need a new set.

 

Also, yes, it happened for both sides so I took them off and went back to my H8 GP Thunder 8,500K in hopes of more help.

 

Plowery21, do you have any pics of what the MTEC look like? May have to switch out

 

Looks like you have extra wires than the Mtech with just two connections. I just posted a thread on the install.
