I really like the new 18s on the 335 coupe, type 189. Saw replicas that resemble these but meant to fit the 3 series. the bolt pattern is 5x120 and the offset is 35mm. I assume the E60 bolt and hub setup is the same but the offset is 20mm. Can these fit with or without a spacer? Any try something like this?

My Ride: 2006 530xi. Deep green with beige interior. 6 speed manual. Premium package.
Not sure about the spacers. Offset for a non xi e60 is 20mm. If you add a 20mm spacer it should chage the offset to 15mm and they should fit. I drew some pictures for myslef to prove this and it should work. However, no one has ever confirmed that the hub is the same. I read a post here about 3 series rims not fitting around the brakes on the e60. If you try it let me know because I have an xi and if I can get 3 series wheels on it I would have many more choices at a lower cost

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed
The largest non M5 brakes are on the 535d and the V8's.
Both only require 17" rims to clear the brakes, so 18's will clear them in any case.
By using 20mm spacers they will fit fine, as the other parameters are the same. From 20mm upwards I would use only hub mounted spacers. That way you can use the existing bolts and they would give me a better feel regards sturdiness.

I may be selling my 20mm spacers when I get my new OEM 19" #166s. I will need a 12mm spacer.
My old wheels were ET32, and 20mm did very well. I am sure that 20mm works well with ET35 as well.

I wouldnt trust it, the spacer would be huge thus possibly causing vibration. Buy a lower offset wheel
Best regards,
