Help placing FM modulator in trunk

I've read all the threads and am looking for someone to tell me if I have this right. I want to place an FM modulator in the antenna path, as close to the trunk as possible. Is my best option to get where the C pillar intersects the parcel shelf? Or is there somewhere easier or closer to the trunk?

I have a shop trying to install a PERIFERAL FM modulator and they couldn't find where to plug in the antenna! I hope someone reply's!
