After searching and finding numerous topics on the subject, I have gained a fair amount of knowledge on recommended tire sizes for my new (on their way) MRR GT1 wheels. I purchased a staggered set in 19"x8.5"/9.5" for my '08 535i w/SP. Offsets are 20/24. My question to all the experts out there is whether or I can get away with 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 to get just a bit more rubber. I realize the offsets can make all the difference in the world, and I thought under the circumstances this might be ok, but I am still very new at all this, and could use a bit of experienced feedback. Thanks everyone!

Paul

P.S. Anyone know what BMW center cap size I'll need?

Bump, because Mod moved my post and never got to be at the top of this forum.

Why move my post but NOT move the other 'Tire poll' post? Just wondering?

Interesting, after posting a request for helpful advice, I've received a number of PMs from vendor and private member alike saying they saw my post and offering to SELL me tires, mods, and other miscellaneous accessories. Of course, none of them had any advice to give while trying to sell me their wares through PM. This is allowed??

Id recommend staying with recommended sizes of 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

Thank you, I appreciate your input.

There's a larger selection of tires in that size combo as well, and that's always a good thing.

I wonder if anyone on here is running 255/285 on an non-M5 E60 w/SP? I'd love to hear your experience with it, if so.
